Spicy Tostadas
Taking a step back to basics, I’m just making sure you have a good spicy tostada recipe; crunchy, golden, delicious. You with me?
Only TRES ingredients:
Corn tortillas
Oil & salt (I cheated I know, let’s treat it as a combo)
1 to 2 Tbs Chipotle in adobo (sub for ground dry chipotle, ancho or cayenne)
How to:
Preheat the oven at 350.F.
In a bowl, mix oil, salt and chipotle in adobo. Brush tortillas with it on both sides.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lay tortillas flat with out overlapping. Bake for 15 minutes or until they snap when bend.
Pro tip: Trim tortillas a bit with a cookie cutter or an individual tart mold. This step will make them more manageable at the time of eating them. The bonus point is you can bake the trimmings and eat them as chips or use instead of croutons ;)
